Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale « Perla Nera®»: a unique automotive masterpiece unveiled at the Alfa Romeo Museum

Alfa Romeo has unveiled an extraordinary interpretation of the new 33 Stradale at the Alfa Romeo Museum in Arese, named «Perla Nera®». Limited to just 33 examples and inspired by the legendary 1967 Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale, this Italian supercar represents automotive personalisation at the highest level. «Perla Nera®» is the only example in the exclusive series to feature a bodywork entirely crafted from visible carbon fibre with a matt finish, with a specific fibre arrangement designed to emphasise the car’s sculptural shapes. The name itself was chosen and registered by its owner, a passionate collector of the Biscione brand.

With its fully black exterior, all-black wheels and the absence of exterior logos apart from Alfa Romeo badges, the 33 Stradale Perla Nera adopts a particularly pure and distinctive design. Here, carbon fibre is much more than a technical material: it becomes a genuine styling element. Each fibre was manually positioned in the moulds with extreme precision, following the contours of the bodywork perfectly. On the front bonnet, the carbon fibre arrangement emphasises the characteristic V-shape, while a chevron pattern visually guides the eye from the front of the car across the roof and towards the rear. This sophisticated process combines advanced technology with authentic Italian craftsmanship.

The exclusivity of the Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale Perla Nera continues inside the cabin, where exposed carbon fibre is combined with a fully black Alcantara interior. The bespoke personalisation programme developed together with the owner includes a completely customised sports seat, created through several dedicated design and validation sessions to meet his specific requirements. Alfa Romeo’s iconic «a cannelloni» upholstery pattern is also incorporated into the door panels and sill plates, creating a seamless stylistic connection throughout the cabin. The headrests have been redesigned and feature a carbon fibre insert bearing the «Perla Nera®» name. Even the specially created, numbered luggage set finished in black Alcantara reflects this philosophy of absolute personalisation.

Behind its spectacular design lies technology worthy of its exclusive status. The Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale is powered by a 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 producing more than 630 hp, combined with an eight-speed DCT transmission and rear-wheel drive. The Italian supercar reaches a top speed of 333 km/h and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in less than three seconds. Its H-shaped aluminium chassis and carbon-fibre monocoque contribute to both low weight and high rigidity. With the «Perla Nera®», Alfa Romeo and Bottega Alfa Romeo demonstrate how far automotive personalisation can go when technology, craftsmanship and a client’s individual vision come together.
