The world's most powerful front-engine convertible

The new Aston Martin Vanquish Volante promotes a higher level of driving dynamics and technology. Its 5.2-liter twin-turbo V12 engine delivers an impressive 835 hp and 1000 Nm of torque. The top speed of 214 mph (345 km/h) and acceleration from 0-100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds underline its exceptional performance. It is only one second slower than its coupé companion. Maximum control is ensured by the rear mounted 8-speed automatic transmission (ZF) with electronic rear limited slip differential, which guarantees optimum power distribution. The Billstein DTX Adaptive Damping System (ADS) offers individually customizable driving modes – from Wet for difficult conditions to Sport+ for maximum driving pleasure. Optimized aerodynamics, a redesigned front bumper and targeted air channels improve stability at high speeds. In addition, standard carbon ceramic brakes ensure exceptional braking performance with reduced weight. Adrian Hallmark, CEO of Aston Martin, commented on the car's innovations: “For 60 years, Aston Martin Volantes have defined the art of elegant, sporting, open-top motoring. With its stunning looks and outstanding V12 engine producing more power than any other front-engine production car on sale, Vanquish Volante has taken this philosophy to an entirely new level. At Aston Martin we are proud to be doing such justice to our heritage while, as the unprecedented performance of the Vanquish Volante shows, keeping our eyes firmly focused on the future.”

Elegant and sleek – just how a convertible should be

The new Aston Martin Vanquish Volante combines flowing lines with an aerodynamically optimized silhouette, making it a true head-turner. The exclusive carbon fiber body parts, including the hood, doors, and side elements, provide a perfect balance of lightness and stability, with the balanced symmetry being particularly impressive. The convertible retains the contemporary elegance of the coupé with its muscular presence, wide stance, and flowing curves. The traditional vaned grille has been enlarged by 13% to support engine cooling, contributing to a chicer and more aggressive layout. On 21-inch forged alloy wheels with specially developed Pirelli P ZERO tires, the Vanquish Volante unleashes its full potential. The extended 80mm wheelbase enhances the iconic front-engine, cab-rearward design language, while the distinctive Kamm tail floats above the recognizable “Shield” at the rear. The subtly large Matrix LED headlights with integrated Daytime Running Lights (DRLs) ensure maximum visibility, while the electronically deployable door handles provide a seamless, elegant appearance. The stainless-steel exhaust system can optionally be replaced by a titanium variant, which not only produces a more impressive sound but also reduces weight. Particularly noteworthy is the K-fold roof, which opens in just 14 seconds and closes in 16 seconds, ensuring true flexibility. The interior of the Aston Martin Vanquish Volante combines luxurious materials with the latest technology and a driver-focused design. The two-seater layout ensures an intense driving experience, while premium materials like Alcantara and semi-aniline leather provide the highest comfort. A 10.25-inch touchscreen, complemented by classic switches, merges modern infotainment with traditional craftsmanship. For audiophile enjoyment, the Bowers & Wilkins 15-speaker surround sound system guarantees a premium sound experience. The standard sports seats can be replaced with optional carbon fiber performance seats. Those seeking maximum individuality can choose from a range of exclusive personalization options via Q by Aston Martin. The Vanquish Volante also sets new standards in safety: adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, lane keep assist, blind-spot monitoring, and a door-opening assist ensure relaxed driving. Volante – The flying steering wheel

The history of the Volante at Aston Martin spans six decades and represents the brand’s exclusive convertible models. The name “Volante” is derived from Italian and means both “flying” and “steering wheel.” The name was first introduced in the 1960s to mark the open-air versions of the iconic GT models. The name promises luxury, elegance, and exceptional driving dynamics. A significant milestone was the 1965 Short Chassis Volante, the first convertible to carry this name. It was based on the DB5 chassis but was further developed for the DB6. With only 37 units built, it is now one of the rarest Aston Martins. In 2013, Aston Martin launched the Vanquish Volante with a full carbon fiber body and a V12 naturally aspirated engine producing 573 hp. For the anniversary, the new Vanquish Volante continues the tradition in 2025 – this time with 835 hp and 1000 Nm of torque. The new Aston Martin Vanquish Volante is now available for order, with the first deliveries scheduled for the third quarter of 2025.
