Bentley Torcal: A New Era of British Luxury
Bentley Motors has unveiled the all-new Bentley Torcal in London, an entirely new model that becomes the fourth model line in the British luxury marque’s portfolio. Designed, engineered and built in Crewe, England, the Torcal represents a major milestone in Bentley’s history, combining traditional craftsmanship, cutting-edge technology and fully electric propulsion. The Bentley Torcal serves as a showcase for British craftsmanship and engineering while introducing a new design philosophy that will influence future Bentley models. Its distinctive low-slung luxury SUV silhouette combines a long wheelbase, short overhangs and a powerful frontal stance. The illuminated diamond grille and design elements inspired by iconic Bentleys such as the Continental T give the Torcal an unmistakable presence. Inside, Bentley continues its pursuit of automotive excellence with an exceptional combination of leather, wool, wood, aluminium and innovative materials. The brand has also retained physical controls for key functions, providing occupants with a direct and tactile interaction with the vehicle.
Bentley Torcal Electric: Up to 888 PS and 1,350 Nm
The Bentley Torcal electric SUV is the first model in the history of the British marque to feature a fully electric powertrain. Two permanent-magnet synchronous motors work together with a 113 kWh battery and an 800-volt electrical architecture. Two versions will be available at launch. The Bentley Torcal produces 821 PS and 1,194 Nm of peak torque, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds and reaching a top speed of 250 km/h. The more sporting Bentley Torcal S takes performance even further, delivering up to 888 PS and 1,350 Nm with Launch Control. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.9 seconds and reaches a top speed of 260 km/h. This remarkable performance is supported by an exceptionally sophisticated chassis. The Torcal features fully active suspension, electronic all-wheel steering and adaptive two-valve dampers. The objective is to combine outstanding long-distance comfort with precise handling and exceptional body control.
Up to 600 km of Range and Ultra-Fast Charging
The new Bentley Torcal is designed not only to deliver extraordinary performance, but also to offer the long-distance capabilities expected from a luxury grand tourer. Bentley quotes a range of up to 600 km according to the WLTP cycle. With 400 kW charging capability, the battery can be charged from 10 to 80 per cent in around 20 minutes. According to Bentley, seven minutes of charging can add approximately 161 km of range. At five metres in length, the Torcal is the shortest four-door model in Bentley’s line-up while still providing exceptional interior space. The luggage compartment offers 460 litres of capacity, complemented by an additional 90-litre front storage area. Electronic all-wheel steering also reduces the turning circle to just 11.1 meters. Advanced technology is equally central to the driving experience. A total of 25 radars, sensors and cameras continuously monitor the vehicle’s surroundings, supporting a comprehensive range of driving and parking assistance systems. These include remote parking, advanced parking assistance and various functions designed to make manoeuvring and towing easier.
Bentley Torcal: Luxury, Technology and Sustainability Inside
The 2026 Bentley Torcal is not only the first fully electric Bentley; it also introduces new materials designed to redefine the concept of automotive luxury. In collaboration with Fox Brothers, Bentley has developed a 100 per cent Merino wool automotive fabric, certified according to the Responsible Wool Standard. Personalisation remains at the heart of the Bentley experience. Customers can choose from a wide range of leather, Dinamica and Merino wool colours, together with numerous wood, aluminium and piano finishes. The seats offer extensive adjustment, heating, ventilation and massage functions. Bentley’s optional Postural Adjust system continuously adapts the shape of the seat to help distribute pressure more effectively during long journeys. Bentley has also placed particular emphasis on the acoustic experience of its new electric SUV. The Bentley Dynamic Symphony was created using real musical instruments and draws inspiration from the rhythm of the marque’s legendary 6¾-litre V8. The soundtrack changes according to driving style and the selected driving mode. Four Experience Modes – Bentley, Comfort, Sport and Refresh – also allow the lighting, sound, climate and digital information to be adapted to the desired atmosphere.
