Even more motorsport

With “Project: Endurance”, McLaren Automotive and McLaren Racing are opening a bold new chapter for motorsport enthusiasts—while also redefining the art of customer engagement. This exclusive program offers a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to own and drive a genuine McLaren Le Mans Hypercar 2027. Strictly limited and directly inspired by McLaren’s WEC race car, the vehicle will hit the track in 2027. For customers, this marks the start of a new era: an unprecedented fusion of ownership, racing, and insider access to the world of motorsport. Further details will be released by McLaren as the program evolves. “I'm delighted to announce that McLaren Automotive is collaborating with our colleagues in McLaren Racing to introduce a bold, authentic Le Mans Hypercar customer ownership experience. Alongside the ownership of the latest LMDh race car—a driving experience few will ever know—our customers will receive exclusive, fully immersive access to the development and racing program behind our WEC Hypercar for the 2027 FIA World Endurance Championship. Combined with the bespoke track-driving program curated for ‘Project: Endurance’, this represents a completely new dimension of the McLaren customer experience,” explained Nick Collins, CEO of McLaren Group Holdings.

Participants will gain privileged access to McLaren’s testing and development activities, engage in the lead-up to the 2027 race season, and meet the team behind the scenes—from the engineers to the legendary drivers themselves. The program includes a two-year track experience on some of the world’s most iconic racing circuits, featuring tailored driver coaching, dedicated pit crews, and a seamless “arrive-and-drive” concept.

Another Triple Crown in sight?

The Hypercar developed under “Project: Endurance” is being created in parallel with McLaren’s LMDh race car, set to debut in the 2027 FIA World Endurance Championship. Powered by a cutting-edge V6 twin-turbo hybrid and rear-wheel drive, the car is a showcase of advanced racing technology. Development is taking place in close partnership with Dallara, the legendary constructor and exclusive partner of the NTT INDYCAR Series. “McLaren Racing's return to the FIA World Endurance Championship marks the beginning of a new and exciting chapter for us. We have a rich history in the sport together with McLaren Automotive, having raced and won on our first attempt at Le Mans in 1995”, announced Zak Brown, CEO of McLaren Racing. The project is driven by an ambitious goal: a renewed pursuit of the legendary Triple Crown of Motorsport—victories at Le Mans, the Indy 500, and the Monaco Grand Prix—all in a single season this time, if possible. McLaren’s history speaks for itself: victory at Le Mans in 1995, two Indy 500 triumphs, over 190 Grand Prix wins (including Monaco), and nine Constructors’ Championships in Formula 1. To this day, McLaren remains the only manufacturer to have claimed all three legs of the Triple Crown. With “Project: Endurance”, the next chapter in that legacy is about to be written.
