A visionary space concept
With the Vision V model portfolio, Mercedes-Benz is launching a completely new concept in the field of luxury MPVs. From 2026, the modular, flexible and scalable Van Electric Architecture (VAN.EA) will form the technological basis for this area. The focus will be on the “Private Lounge” – a newly conceived space concept designed to meet customers' high demands for privacy, elegance and well-being. Mercedes-Benz Vans is thus not only establishing its own segment in top-end luxury but is also committed to improvements in mobile travel in stylish spaciousness. “The Mercedes Benz Vans have been iconic for decades. With the Vision V we take that heritage and transform it into a completely new context of highest luxury transportation. This show car embodies the perfect harmony between luxury and van design, setting a new benchmark for the future,” explained Gorden Wagener, Chief Design Officer of Mercedes-Benz Group AG, at the presentation of the Vision V show car, which stands as an example of the possibility of a flexible entry-level family van through exclusive VIP shuttles to luxurious limousines with an enormous amount of space.

The exterior of the Vision V combines sporty elegance with functional aerodynamics. The low silhouette, the short overhangs and the smoothly rounded rear emphasize the dynamic profile of the large van. Eye-catching design elements such as chrome-plated, illuminated louvres and 24-inch wheels with integrated light elements ensure a striking presence. When approaching the vehicle, an individual light show is activated, which further highlights the vehicle. The large, automatically opening portal door also reveals an illuminated, extendable step for getting in. A newly designed chrome radiator grille with glass, backlit louvres complete the modern appearance. At the rear, over 450 LED elements provide an unmistakable rear and brake light layout. The welcome screen on the chrome-plated B-pillars is designed to give passengers an idea of what awaits them inside.

An interior that leaves absolutely nothing to be desired
The interior of the Vision V is designed as a privatized lounge: a generously proportioned space with a focus on comfort, functionality and modern design, reminiscent of a wellness lounge. High-quality materials such as crystal white Nappa leather, shimmering silk and open-pore burl wood create a stylish environment. An electrically switchable glass wall (adjustable from transparent to various levels of opacity) separates the rear from the driver's area and ensures privacy. The electrically adjustable first-class seats in a futuristic lounge design are made of flexible tubular cushions and offer maximum comfort thanks to their reclining function. Adaptive ambient lighting that synchronizes with the music and an integrated fragrance system behind the center console create a pleasant atmosphere – just like in a chic living room, according to the idea.

360-degree entertainment
At the touch of a button, the Vision V transforms into one of seven digital worlds of experience: From entertainment and gaming to a virtual shopping tour, karaoke or a mobile office – every function is geared towards the exclusive travel of the future. At the center of the entertainment a retractable 65-inch cinema screen with 4K resolution and split-screen function is present. The audiovisual experience is complemented by a surround sound system with Dolby Atmos, 42 loudspeakers including exciters in the seats and seven projectors that transform the interior into an immersive world of experience. The side windows serve as additional screens to offer a 360-degree digital experience. A touchpad, a fold-out table with chessboard surface, and a gaming controller complete the digital equipment. The cockpit also sets standards: an extended Superscreen with three displays stretches from A-pillar to A-pillar and offers personalized real-time graphics, a digital instrument cluster, and innovative surround navigation.
