Arte in Pista, an Exclusive Program
Pagani unveils its new model, the Huayra R Evo, enriching the Arte in Pista program supported by the Italian brand. Launched in 2021, the Arte in Pista program coincided with the release of Pagani's Huayra R. An experience reserved for owners of the renowned Huayra, but also the Zonda R and Zonda Revolución, inviting them to push the performance of their cars to the maximum of their capabilities. Specifically, the brand regularly organizes events at the world's most prestigious FIA racetracks for meetings focused not on competition, but on the pure driving experience. On-site, Pagani's technical directors, combining data specialists and technical directors, then serve the drivers to make these sessions unforgettable moments. Similar to the precise follow-up of race car drivers, the events also gather mechanics, physiotherapists specialized in racing, as well as nutritionists. The highlight is the presence of professional drivers who freely provide advice and methods to always improve the driving of Pagani car owners. Today, a new model joins the very private circle of the Arte in Pista program with the launch of the Huayra R Evo. "The Huayra R and the Arte in Pista program have expanded our clients' experience with the Pagani brand beyond our wildest dreams, also offering a new opportunity for Zonda R and Zonda Revolución owners. The demand for the Arte In Pista program, where adrenaline enthusiasts from around the world gather to share their common passion, led us to think about an addition to the program. It is with pleasure that we then share the Huayra R Evo, pushing the limits of performance and emotion even further. Let's start by removing the roof and go from there..." Horacio Pagani, founder and chief designer of Pagani Automobili, told the press.

Two Years of Research
To design this new model of the brand, everything started with a key event attended by Horacio Pagani. "The inspiration for the design of the Huayra R Evo came to me during an Indy Formula race held in Nashville: observing the single-seaters with their Aeroscreens, the idea of creating a car with polycarbonate protection surfaces, and the possibility of removing the two roof panels to be completely immersed in the world of racing with the captivating sound of the engine, came to mind. From that moment, we set ourselves the goal of creating a beautiful car, as subjective as that term may be, which is harmonious in its lines and strong in its character. The final result is a true descendant of the Huayra R, one of the cars most appreciated by our clients," he explained. Another source of inspiration for the model is the cars from the 24 Hours of Le Mans in the 1960s and 1970s, to which the Pagani design team adds the aerodynamic character at the center of the design. "This fascinating project mobilized the entire team for about two years, involving extensive testing and participation in Arte in Pista events, on track. We gathered valuable information from our clients, collaborating closely with long-term partners such as Pirelli and Brembo to develop high-level components intended for a high-performance and distinctive vehicle like the Huayra R Evo," added the brand's founder.

An Open-Top Car
From these years of research results a car devoid of a roof allows its drivers total immersion in the driving experience. Years of research that also aims to combine experience and design with flawless driving safety. The starting point of this new project remains the Huayra R, the base model, which sees both its performance and its look evolve. Thus, we find its most marked traits, such as the hyper aerodynamic front, the air exhaust systems, and the sleek profile typical of racing cars. For Francesco Perini, head of the technical department at Pagani Automobile, the ambition of this project, from the start, was to combine the heritage of the original model with the necessity of evolving it with its time, "When the Huayra R was born, we had in mind an extreme car, the expression of a great desire for freedom. Nature teaches us how every organism tends to evolve to adapt to environmental conditions, and this principle guided the creation of the Huayra R Evo project. The term 'Evo' reflects the transformation of a Hypercar that adapts increasingly to its natural environment — the track — by integrating new elements and evolving in terms of performance and maneuverability. " A general improvement that owes a lot to the design thought for unmatched speed performances made possible by an aerodynamic character pushed to its climax. Contrary to popular belief, the open roof does not impact this characteristic at all. On the contrary, this design choice reinforces the load at the front and rear of the car, resulting in a 5% increased downforce. To further improve the aerodynamics of the model, Pagani emphasizes certain design traits. Notably, an elongation of the rear of the car, complemented by the codalunga (long tail) concept, benefits from an air extractor to improve its track performance. The issue of air evacuation is indeed at the heart of this automotive project, just like its lightness made possible by the use of class A carbon fiber. This latter also stands out for its superior stiffness, 38% more than the carbon fiber usually used, which however does not impact its weight, for speed peaks worthy of the most efficient racing models.

The Pagani V12-R Evo Engine: 900 Horsepower Under the Hood
A new look, but also a new engine. The Huayra R Evo benefits from the latest Pagani technologies to reach a speed and power still unmatched by the brand. Equipped with a Pagani V12-R Evo engine, the new model from the Italian house offers a racing car engine, featuring the latest technologies from the world of motorsport. To illustrate this performance, let's give some numbers: an engine with 900 horsepower, for 8,750 revolutions per minute. Another dizzying fact: on track, the revolutions per minute reach the limit of 9,200. Very advanced work on power through the integration of the latest technologies in the field, which is complemented by the improvement of other performances in parallel, especially at the level of intake manifolds. To increase their capacity, their entire design has been revised. The result? New trumpet-shaped manifolds complemented by revised and corrected camshafts serve the quality of the aspiration process. The exhaust system has also received special attention, aiming once again to improve performance, but also the driving experience. Indeed, the sound of the Huayra R Evo is then distinctive, worthy of a race car intended for the track and speed. The guarantee of unforgettable sensations for the privileged members of the Arte in Pista program!
