Dynamic acceleration in Porsche style

To mark the 25th anniversary of the 911 GT3, Porsche is bringing a special highlight to the road: the new Porsche 911 GT3 and the 911 GT3 with Touring package – available in two versions at the same time for the first time. Since its launch in 1999, the 911 GT3 has stood for the perfect combination of motorsport DNA and everyday usability. The new model further sharpens this claim: the GT3 presents itself as an uncompromising circuit sports car with a striking rear wing, while the Touring variant is deliberately more discreet. Both versions impress with new options and equipment packages that enable a high degree of individual adaptation to the driver’s mode and use. The new Porsche 911 GT3 impresses with a high-revving 4.0-liter six-cylinder boxer engine that delivers 375 kW (510 hp) and 450 Nm of torque. Whether with 7-speed PDK or 6-speed manual transmission, the GT3 sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.4 s (PDK) or 3.9 s (manual) and reaches top speeds of 311 km/h or 313 km/h. A revised exhaust purification system with two particulate filters and four catalytic converters ensures modern efficiency – and of course the popular engine sound – while technical refinements such as optimized individual throttle valves, an improved oil cooler, and sharper camshafts (adopted from the GT3 RS) enhance the driving experience. The new gear ratio is eight percent shorter and offers even more dynamic acceleration – which makes a particular difference on winding country roads. Porsche has also focused on improvements in lightweight construction: With an overall weight from 1,420 kg, the new GT3 is one of the lightest in its class. New lightweight aluminum wheels, the optional magnesium wheels in the Lightweight or Weissach package, and a new 40 Ah lithium-ion battery reduce the weight. The suspension has been consistently designed for precision and stability. New aerodynamic elements such as a revised front diffuser, a modified spoiler lip, and modified fins on the underbody improve downforce and airflow. The GT3 has a redesigned rear wing with angled sideplates, while the Touring version features an extendable spoiler with Gurney flap. The aerodynamically shaped trailing arms with teardrop profile ensure better downforce and more efficient brake cooling. The setup is complemented by a revised anti-dive system, which significantly reduces pitching when braking. The GT3 provides sports tires as standard, track tires with road approval are available as an option.

Clear lines define the interior

Inside the new Porsche 911 GT3, a purist motorsport character meets elegant details and modern technology. The GT3 cockpit is deliberately minimalist with the new Track Screen mode, which clearly displays all information relevant to driving dynamics such as tire pressure, oil temperature or shifting selection at the touch of a button. One classic Porsche detail has been retained: The engine is started in true Porsche style via the rotary ignition switch and not by pressing a button. “The new 911 GT3 has become even more exhilarating and individual. We dug into a wealth of details and gave it many features that our customers wanted. This allows the GT3 to be adapted even more specifically to the purpose or preferences of the driver,” says Andreas Preuninger, Head of GT Cars. An exclusive leather interior emphasizes the ambience of the Touring version. New, optional sports bucket seats with a folding CFRP shell and integrated seat heating combine lightweight construction with comfort. Alternatively, those who prefer more variability can choose the optional Adaptive Sports Seats Plus with 18-way adjustment, which are ideal for longer journeys or frequent drivers. A real novelty is the optional rear seat system, available for the first time in the Touring package, which makes the sports car suitable for families on request. Incidentally, the term “Touring Package” goes back to an equipment variant of the 911 Carrera RS 2.7 from 1973 and has been part of the GT3 range since 2017.

Extras and the Porsche Swiss Package as standard

In Switzerland, the new Porsche 911 GT3 starts at a basic price of CHF 233'700 incl. VAT. Those who are longing for even more performance, exclusivity or lightweight construction can choose from various equipment packages. The Weissach package (CHF 27'610) for the GT3 combines consistent lightweight construction with an exclusive look: This includes numerous visible carbon parts on the roof, wings and mirrors, Race-Tex surfaces in the interior, a roll cage made of CFRP and ultra-light magnesium forged wheels. Alternatively, the Lightweight package for the Touring variant (CHF 41'310) offers similar performance features – including a CFRP roof, magnesium forged wheels, and a gear lever from the purist 911 S/T. A real highlight is the free Clubsport package for the GT3 – with steel roll cage, 6-point harness and fire extinguisher - which is only available in conjunction with the lightweight sports seats, however. Both models benefit from the standard Porsche Swiss Package, which includes the extended warranty (2 + 2), extended assistance (2 + 2), HD Matrix LED headlights, a lightweight LiFePO4 starter battery, the Chrono Package, the HomeLink garage door opener, and a 90-liter fuel tank. Touring drivers can also look forward to a BOSE Surround Sound System.

Porsche for the wrist

To match the new 911 GT3 and GT3 Touring, Porsche Design is offering an exclusive chronograph reserved only for owners of one of these models. It features the in-house Porsche Design caliber WERK 01.200 movement with flyback function, which enables precise timekeeping at racing level. The case is made of lightweight, durable titanium, while the rotor on the back cleverly echoes the design of the GT3 rims. The dial is also based on the look of the vehicle and reflects the sporty elegance of the 911. The chronograph is rounded off with a leather strap made from the same high-quality materials as the vehicle's interior.
