A new retro-look for the 911 Carrera GTS Cabriolet

With the 911 Spirit 70, Porsche presents an exclusive collector's item that revives the unmistakable aesthetics of the 1970s and early 1980s. Based on the 911 Carrera GTS Cabriolet and limited to just 1,500 units worldwide, this model combines nostalgic design with modern performance. It is a stylish homage to decades of sports car history. It is already the third, highly exclusive model of the Heritage collection. “The Heritage Design models occupy a special position within our product strategy from a design perspective,” explains Michael Mauer, Head of Style Porsche, on the background to the production of this special edition. “The limited-edition sports cars visualize what makes the Porsche brand so special. Every design of our vehicles ties in with our history – these vehicles go one step further. They show how we reinterpret historical design elements in a state-of-the-art sports car.” Beneath the striking retro exterior lies state-of-the-art technology: the Porsche 911 Spirit 70 is powered by an innovative performance hybrid. At its heart, a newly developed 3.6-liter boxer engine which, in combination with the eTurbo, electric motor and new PDK transmission, delivers an impressive system output of 398 kW (541 PS) and a torque of 610 Nm.

The most beautiful olive green

The 911 Spirit 70 impresses with a design that skillfully combines past and present. The exclusive Olive Neo color – a deep green with a contemporary undertone – meets Bronzite accents at the front, rear, and the “Fuchs” design wheels. Black decorative stripes in the style of historic safety stickers, a Porsche crest from 1963 on the hood, and gold-plated lettering and badges underline the authentic heritage character. The decorative graphics on the side with a round start number field for an individual start number completes the exterior. In the interior, the iconic design meets the usual luxurious finish. The legendary Pasha pattern in Black/Olive Neo adorns the center panels of the 18-way sports seats Plus, door mirrors, the glove compartment, and the standard reversible trunk mat. High-quality club leather in Basalt Black with decorative stitching in Olive Neo matches the vintage look. The 12.65-inch instrument cluster combines state-of-the-art technology with retro flair: white pointers, green digits, and the digital rev counter with integrated model lettering are reminiscent of the Porsche 356. The Sport Chrono stopwatch rounds off the classically inspired cockpit.

For a comprehensive 70ies feeling

To offer customers a holistic lifestyle experience, owners of the Porsche 911 Spirit 70 receive the exclusive and specially designed Porsche Design chronograph with a dial in the iconic Pasha pattern, stylistically matching the vehicle. The collector's experience is complemented by a stylish Porsche lifestyle collection with daywear, sportswear, accessories, and model vehicles. With the new app for the Apple Vision Pro, which will be available from spring 2025, users will be able to virtually design their vehicle and immerse themselves in the world of the 1970s. The scope of the Exclusive Manufaktur range is set to grow even further to better meet demanding customer requirements in the future: over 1,000 options are already available, and this number is set to increase. The Heritage models are exclusive examples of what is possible. In 2020, Porsche presented the 911 Targa 4S Heritage Design Edition in the style of the 1950s and early 1960s. The second collector's item in 2022 was the 911 Sport Classic in the style of the 1960s and early 1970s. With the new 911 Spirit 70, the brand is expanding its strategy with this emotionally designed concept: Over the past five years, average sales per vehicle have doubled thanks to the Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur options.
