Only the finest hybrid technology for this special edition
With the new Black Edition, Bentley presents an exclusive design line for the Continental GT, GTC and Flying Spur models. The special edition, limited to just 400 units worldwide, combines the striking Blackline Specification with sophisticatedly coordinated dark design elements and highlights these luxury models with a decidedly dynamic, modern presence. In combination with the powerful hybrid performance, the result is an overall package that combines elegance, sportiness, and technical innovation at the highest level. The Black Edition (produced in the Bentley Dream Factory) combines the new high-performance hybrid technology with a highly developed chassis system for all models. The 4.0-liter V8 biturbo combined with a powerful electric motor generates a total output of 680 PS and 930 Nm of torque – a performance level that surpasses the previous GT Speed generation. The Continental GT accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.7 s, while the GTC and Flying Spur reach this speed in 3.9 s. Purely electric driving is possible over up to 80 km.
The powertrain is complemented by the standard Bentley Performance Active Chassis, which is available for the first time outside the Speed models. It enables a balanced interplay of comfort and sportiness. In Sport mode, the steering, damping and roll stabilization are dynamically tuned accordingly, while the system directs the entire drive power to the rear axle as required. The vehicles are designed for maximum agility and a direct driving feel. The Sports Exhaust, which also comes as standard, provides an acoustic background that does justice to the character of the V8 without being intrusive.
All the black details for an elegant appearance
The new Black Edition impresses with a striking, dynamic appearance that bathes the exterior in a powerful, dark aesthetic. Black “Winged B” emblems at the front and rear, and black Bentley lettering underline the elegant, sporty look. The Gloss Black grille, the Beluga front splitter, and the Black Edition badge on the fenders reinforce the classy overall impression. The 22-inch ten-spoke alloy wheels in gloss black are another highlight. The chic duo-tone version is also available on request. The painted brake callipers in Mandarin Orange, which are available as standard at no extra charge, provide a striking contrast. In the GT and GTC models, the new Harmony single headlights with welcome animation make a further modern design statement.
The interior is dominated by elegant minimalism with exclusive details: the headrests bear the embroidered “Black Edition” logo, while fine Piano Black veneer and illuminated treadplates create a stylish ambience. Contrasting stitching, individually selectable in color, adds subtle accents. Further specification parts include comfort seats, sports pedals as well as the typical Bentley Rotating Display. The Mood Lighting Specification completes the luxurious interior concept and creates an atmosphere that is modern, comfortable, and characteristic of the brand.
