Nothing beats these driving dynamics

The new BMW M2 CS is the latest masterpiece in the compact performance coupé segment. Built on the foundation of the second-generation M2, this strictly limited-edition fuses cutting-edge performance technology with everyday usability and razor-sharp driving precision. The car is manufactured at the BMW Group plant in San Luis Potosí, Mexico, and is primarily aimed at customers in the core markets of the US, Germany, and China. The market launch is planned for late summer 2025, with a starting price in Germany of €115,000. Inside the new BMW M2 CS works a 3.0-liter in-line six-cylinder engine with M TwinPower Turbo technology, delivering an impressive 390 kW (530 PS) – a full 50 PS more than in the standard M2. With a maximum torque of 650 Nm, available across a broad rev range from 2,650 to 5,730 rpm, the engine delivers impressive power all the way up to the rev limit of 7,200 rpm. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels as standard via an 8-speed M Steptronic transmission with Drivelogic, with the driver able to choose between three shift programs. This focused performance catapults the M2 CS from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.8 s—or an even sharper 3.5 s using the “1-foot rollout” method. It hits 200 km/h in 11.7 s (11.4 s with rollout), while the quick burst from 80 to 120 km/h takes just 3.4 s. With the standard M Driver’s Package, top speed is electronically limited to 302 km/h.

Perfect for adrenaline junkies

In addition to its increased performance, the M2 CS impresses with its sophisticated racing technology. The special edition weighs approximately 30 kg less than the standard model, thanks primarily to the strategic use of lightweight carbon components (CFRP). A model-specific, reinforced engine mount ensures even more direct power delivery. Even under extreme conditions, a motorsport-proven cooling and lubrication system maintains the drivetrain’s thermal stability. The 8 mm lower and precisely tuned chassis geometry – combined with the integrated M Drift Analyzer and M Laptimer – turns the BMW M2 CS into a true track tool for adrenaline junkies with the highest expectations. For maximum precision and control, the new BMW M2 CS is equipped as standard with the adaptive M suspension, which dynamically adapts to both road surface and driving style. The setup is complemented by M Servotronic steering and the active M Sport differential, delivering precise feedback and optimal traction both on the road and the racetrack. When it comes to deceleration, the M2 CS relies on standard M compound brakes with striking red brake callipers. For even higher load capacity, M carbon-ceramic brakes (also in red) are available as an option. A real highlight: the forged M light-alloy wheels in striking gold bronze (19 inches at the front, 20 at the rear) fitted with track tires as standard. Alternatively, sport tires are available at no extra cost, tailored to suit individual driving preferences and style."

Exclusive M2 CS elements

The exterior is characterized by its motorsport DNA: the roof, ducktail-style boot lid, rear diffuser, and front splitter are made of weight-optimized carbon (CFRP). The black M kidney grille and the exclusive 'M2 CS' logo with red outline underscore the car’s uncompromising presence. A striking color palette enhances the bold exterior – from Sapphire Black metallic to the BMW Individual shade Velvet Blue metallic, as well as M Brooklyn Grey and M Portimao Blue. Adaptive LED headlights with BMW Selective Beam and Shadowline accents guarantee optimal visibility and a distinctive look. The interior also combines racing spirit with high-end comfort. Alcantara, Merino leather, and carbon fiber dominate the interior, exuding a refined motorsport-inspired premium feel. The standard M Carbon bucket seats, featuring integrated heating, CS embossing, and compatibility with multi-point harnesses, deliver outstanding lateral support and uncompromising sportiness. The Alcantara-covered M steering wheel features a red 12 o'clock marking, two configurable M buttons, and shift paddles. The interior is complemented by CS-specific design elements such as a carbon fiber center console, red “CS” logos, an illuminated door design, M seat belts, and an anthracite-colored headliner.
