Lamborghini Revuelto SV: The Quantum of Driving

Published 14 August 2026

Fifty-Five Years of Super Veloce, and a New Definition of the Term

The SV badge has appeared on Lamborghinis for more than half a century, each time marking the most extreme and uncompromising interpretation of the model it accompanied. The Miura SV of 1971, the Diablo SV, the Murciélago LP 670-4 SV, the Aventador SVJ, each one a statement of what Sant'Agata Bolognese could produce when given no constraints but performance itself. The Revuelto SV, unveiled at Monterey on 14 August 2026, continues that lineage with a total system output of 1,065 CV, a 0-100 km/h time of 2.4 seconds, a 0-200 km/h time of 6.7 seconds, and a top speed exceeding 345 km/h. It is the most powerful and fastest production Lamborghini ever built, limited to 1,963 examples, the number chosen as a tribute to the year Automobili Lamborghini was founded. Lamborghini calls what happens at these performance levels "The Quantum of Driving", a deliberate appropriation of physics terminology to describe the moment when driving experience undergoes a change of state, becoming something qualitatively different rather than simply faster. It is a poetic framing, but the engineering behind it is entirely literal: 80% more total downforce than the standard Revuelto, a power-to-weight ratio of 1.66 kg/CV, GT3 racing-derived adjustable passive dampers, next-generation CCM-R Plus carbon-ceramic brakes, and bespoke Bridgestone Potenza Race R semi-slick tyres developed from the ground up to Lamborghini's specifications. On 14 August, Lamborghini factory driver Marco Mapelli set a lap time of 1:41.6 at the Hockenheimring, the fastest ever recorded there by a production car.

1,065 CV, 9,500 rpm and the Architecture of Extreme Torque

The powertrain of the Revuelto SV builds on the hybrid V12 architecture of the standard Revuelto while advancing it in every measurable direction. The 6.5-litre naturally aspirated V12 produces 825 CV at 9,250 rpm with a maximum rev ceiling of 9,500 rpm, working in combination with two front axial flux electric motors and a radial flux motor positioned above the eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox to deliver a combined system maximum of 1,065 CV and a class-leading 1,425 Nm of system torque. The three-motor electric architecture enables ultra-fast torque distribution and fully electric torque vectoring between the front wheels, increasing responsiveness during corner entry, maximising grip on exit, and giving the SV the dynamic sensation of a car significantly lighter and more precise than its specification suggests. A newly developed 7.3 kWh lithium-ion battery delivers up to four times greater performance consistency than the standard Revuelto's system, a figure that matters not for road driving but for sustained track use, where repeatability across consecutive laps is the measure that separates a genuinely capable machine from one that merely performs well in isolation. The aerodynamic package that frames this powertrain generates 80% more total downforce than the Revuelto, 10% more than the Aventador SVJ, and a 60% improvement in downforce-to-drag efficiency, achieved through a redesigned front splitter, an optimised underfloor with forward-shifted aerodynamic balance, a motorsport-inspired double-wing rear configuration with Gurney flap, and a new dedicated rear brake cooling channel. Brake cooling itself has improved by 12%, supporting a system where 200-0 km/h deceleration is achieved in just 110 metres through CCM-R Plus discs measuring 420 x 40 mm at the front and 410 x 32 mm at the rear, delivering 11% greater peak deceleration and 23% improved heat dissipation compared with the standard car.

A Cockpit That Means It

Inside, the Revuelto SV pursues the "Feel Like a Pilot" philosophy with a completeness that goes beyond the usual visual gestures. Ultra-lightweight carbon fibre door panels are standard, contributing to weight reduction while seamlessly integrating the optional Sonus Faber premium sound system. The latest generation Lamborghini steering wheel carries a control layout derived directly from motorsport, with the new Pilota mode selector in red on the right side, activating a bespoke five-stage traction control system drawn from Lamborghini's GT3 racing programme, allowing the driver to adapt the car's behaviour precisely to track conditions, tyre wear and driving style. The ANIMA selector is also finished in red, making clear which elements of this cockpit exist for engagement rather than convenience. Standard seats feature a carbon shell structure combining racing character with practical adjustability; optional monocoque carbon Race Seats provide maximum lateral support at reduced weight for drivers who intend to use the Pilota mode seriously. New 3D-Superlight Dromos wheels with hexagonal spokes and central locking via the redesigned Monolocker system, making their debut on the Revuelto SV as the first series-production Lamborghini to feature centre-lock wheels, complete the visual language of a car where every component has been selected to serve the driving experience rather than illustrate it. As soon as the door opens, an emotive animation of the Revuelto SV on the display welcomes the occupants, a small gesture, but one that understands the importance of occasion in a car built entirely around the cultivation of it.

The Purest Expression of a Lineage

What the Revuelto SV ultimately represents is the fullest articulation of a philosophy that Lamborghini has been refining for more than five decades: that the Super Veloce is not simply a faster car but a different kind of car, one in which performance has been pursued to the point where it transforms the relationship between driver and machine into something that cannot be described in figures alone. The lap record at Hockenheimring, the 1,425 Nm of system torque, the 80% downforce increase, these are the evidence, not the argument. The argument is the moment Mapelli described when setting that lap time, when the car's behaviour ceased to be something managed and became something shared. Produced in 1,963 examples, each reserved for Lamborghini's most loyal customers and collectors, the Revuelto SV closes a chapter of the V12 Super Veloce story while simultaneously defining the terms on which any future chapter will need to operate. Fifty-five years of SV lineage has never produced a car quite like this one, which is, in the end, precisely what the badge has always promised.
