New Audi A6 allroad: The Premium All-Rounder That Goes Beyond Every Limit

With the new Audi A6 allroad, Audi is redefining the concept of the premium all-round estate car. Now in its fifth generation, the A6 allroad combines a more distinctive design, advanced technology and impressive off-road capabilities with the comfort and refinement that have always been part of the model’s DNA. Around 11 centimetres wider than the A6 Avant, equipped as standard with quattro all-wheel drive and a specially developed adaptive air suspension, the new Audi A6 allroad is designed to handle everything from long motorway journeys to more demanding routes away from paved roads. The new Audi A6 allroad immediately stands out from a conventional premium estate. For the first time in the model’s history, the body reaches a particularly generous width of 1,986 millimetres without the exterior mirrors and 2,099 millimetres including the mirrors. With a total length of 5,016 millimetres, these proportions give the vehicle an imposing road presence. The exterior design has been developed specifically to emphasise the allroad character. Body protection elements, distinctive hexagonal details, underbody protection and pronounced wheel-arch cladding give the new model a robust and unmistakable appearance. The new Audi A6 allroad comes standard with 19-inch wheels, while optional wheels measuring up to 21 inches are available. Ground clearance has also been increased by 34 millimetres compared with an A6 Avant equipped with air suspension. The result is a premium estate that combines elegant proportions with greater freedom of use on different types of terrain.

One of the key technical features of the Audi A6 allroad is hidden beneath its bodywork. The model comes standard with an adaptive air suspension specifically developed for the allroad version. The suspension offers a total adjustment range of 55 millimetres, allowing the vehicle’s ride height to be adapted to different driving conditions and surfaces. For driving away from paved roads, the offroad and offroad+ modes can be selected. These settings can raise the body by a further 15 millimetres while adapting the vehicle’s traction management to surfaces such as gravel, sand and snow. For particularly challenging sections, the lift function provides an additional 20 millimetres of ground clearance at speeds of up to 35 km/h. The new A6 allroad is also equipped with all-wheel steering. At low speeds, the rear wheels can turn by up to five degrees in the opposite direction to the front wheels, making manoeuvring easier and reducing the turning circle. At higher speeds, the rear wheels can turn by up to two degrees in the same direction as the front wheels, enhancing stability and driving precision. The quattro all-wheel-drive system is standard across the entire A6 allroad engine range.

At launch, the new Audi A6 allroad is offered with two electrified powertrain options. Alongside the V6 TDI featuring MHEV plus technology, Audi is introducing a plug-in hybrid e-hybrid version to the A6 allroad range for the first time. Audi A6 allroad e-hybrid quattro with 367 PS The new Audi A6 allroad e-hybrid quattro combines a 2.0-litre TFSI petrol engine with an electric drive unit. The combustion engine produces 185 kW, equivalent to 252 PS, while the electric motor can deliver up to 105 kW. Combined system output reaches 270 kW, or 367 PS, with maximum torque of 500 Nm. The A6 allroad e-hybrid accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.5 seconds and reaches a top speed of 250 km/h. The battery has a gross capacity of 25.9 kWh and a net capacity of 20.7 kWh. According to the WLTP cycle, the vehicle can cover up to 95 kilometres on electric power alone. AC charging is available at up to 11 kW, with a full charge taking approximately two and a half hours. Audi A6 allroad V6 TDI with 299 PS For customers who still favour diesel power, Audi retains the 3.0-litre V6 TDI in the range. The engine produces 220 kW, equivalent to 299 PS, and delivers maximum torque of 580 Nm. The V6 TDI is combined with MHEV plus technology and features an electrically driven compressor designed to improve engine response. The Audi A6 allroad V6 TDI accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.4 seconds and also reaches a top speed of 250 km/h. Audi quotes combined fuel consumption of between 5.8 and 6.4 litres per 100 kilometres and CO₂ emissions ranging from 153 to 167 g/km, depending on configuration and equipment according to the WLTP cycle.

Inside, the Audi A6 allroad combines high-quality materials, sophisticated comfort and extensive digital technology. The Audi MMI panoramic display incorporates an 11.9-inch Audi virtual cockpit and a central 14.5-inch touchscreen display. An optional 10.9-inch display is also available for the front passenger. Lighting technology is equally advanced. The Digital Matrix LED headlights offer eight different digital daytime running-light signatures, while the rear features Digital OLED 2.0 lighting technology. Comfort can be enhanced with individual seats offering ventilation and massage functions. Other available features include four-zone automatic climate control, an air-quality system and a panoramic glass roof with adjustable transparency. Practicality remains an important part of the A6 allroad concept. Models with conventional powertrains offer between 466 and 1,497 litres of luggage capacity, while the e-hybrid version provides between 404 and 1,423 litres. The rear seats can be folded in a 40:20:40 configuration, providing additional flexibility for passengers and luggage. At the same time, the 299-PS V6 TDI remains an important choice for drivers looking for strong torque, long-distance range and confident performance on extended journeys. The new Audi A6 allroad has been available to order since 18 June 2026, with the first vehicles expected to arrive at dealerships in autumn 2026. In Germany, Audi has announced a starting price of €77,250 for the V6 TDI, while the A6 allroad e-hybrid starts at €80,250. Prices may vary depending on market and equipment.
