Bovensiepen has unveiled the new 05 GT, a luxury grand tourer that marks the beginning of a new era for the German manufacturer. Developed and handcrafted in Buchloe, the model embodies the company’s philosophy of “Fine Driving” by combining exceptional performance with comfort, exclusivity and long-distance capability. Powered by an advanced plug-in hybrid powertrain producing 800 hp and 1,100 Nm of torque, the 05 GT delivers the kind of effortless acceleration expected from a modern high-performance GT while maintaining the refinement required for everyday use. According to Andreas Bovensiepen, the new model was created for drivers who appreciate not only speed, but also craftsmanship, elegance and the emotional connection that comes from spending hours behind the wheel. Customer deliveries are scheduled to begin in the fourth quarter of 2026, with production remaining highly exclusive and focused on individual customer specifications.

The exterior design of the Bovensiepen 05 GT has been penned by renowned automotive designer Frank Stephenson, whose portfolio includes icons such as the first-generation BMW X5 and the modern MINI. The vehicle introduces a completely new design language for the brand, characterised by flowing proportions, muscular surfaces and a distinctive lower body line that visually connects the front splitter, side skirts and rear diffuser. At the front, a laser-cut stainless-steel grille creates a bold identity while referencing the design themes introduced on the Bovensiepen Zagato. Large air intakes improve cooling performance and reinforce the car’s sporting character. The rear section is equally dramatic, featuring a bespoke Akrapovič titanium exhaust system with four oval tailpipes that emphasise the vehicle’s performance credentials. Wide wheel arches, a low-slung stance and carefully sculpted bodywork create a powerful road presence, while customers can further personalise the exterior through an extensive range of bespoke paint finishes, contrasting details and unique design elements. Every surface has been designed to combine aerodynamic efficiency with timeless elegance, ensuring that the 05 GT remains visually striking regardless of trends or fashions.

Inside, the Bovensiepen 05 GT demonstrates the company’s commitment to traditional craftsmanship and individualisation. Each vehicle is built largely by hand and carries its own production number, highlighting its exclusivity. The cabin combines modern luxury with artisan detailing, creating an environment that feels more like a bespoke piece of furniture than a conventional automotive interior. A hand-stitched Lavalina leather steering wheel sits at the centre of the driving experience and is complemented by precision-milled aluminium shift paddles. The same premium leather is applied throughout the cabin, covering the seats, dashboard, centre console and numerous contact surfaces. Customers can choose from virtually unlimited combinations of colours, stitching patterns and decorative materials, allowing every car to reflect its owner’s personality. Special requests such as personalised embroidery, embossed headrests, custom luggage compartments and unique interior themes can also be accommodated. The attention to detail extends to every element of the cockpit, where luxury materials, precise fit and finish, and carefully selected textures create an atmosphere of understated exclusivity. Rather than following mass-production trends, Bovensiepen focuses on creating one-off interiors that are individually tailored to each client.

The suspension system incorporates Eibach springs, revised chassis mounts and additional structural reinforcement to maximise steering precision and high-speed stability. Performance enhancements also include optimised air intake systems, bespoke engine management software and a lightweight titanium Akrapovič exhaust that reduces overall weight by 7.8 kilograms while delivering a distinctive acoustic signature.
