With the Bovensiepen Spider 2027, the German automotive manufacturer introduces an exclusive roadster designed around driving pleasure, lightweight engineering and an emotional connection between driver and car. At a time when the traditional two-seat roadster segment is becoming increasingly rare, Bovensiepen is taking a deliberately different approach with a classic front-engine layout, modern technology and a powerful inline-six engine. The new Spider combines classic sports car proportions with contemporary drivetrain technology, modern crash safety and meticulous craftsmanship. Production will be strictly limited to just 99 vehicles worldwide. The design of the Bovensiepen Spider 2027 follows the classic proportions of a front-engine sports car. A long bonnet, a cockpit positioned far towards the rear and short overhangs give the roadster a particularly elegant and elongated silhouette. The exterior was developed in collaboration with renowned automotive designer Frank Stephenson. Key design features include the high-gloss black front splitter with its distinctive twin tips, large air outlets in the front fenders, dedicated side skirts and a prominent rear diffuser. A harmoniously integrated rear spoiler visually extends the rear section while emphasizing the car's sporting character. The 20-inch Bovensiepen forged wheels, featuring ten elongated double spokes, combine distinctive design with a focus on lightweight construction.

At the heart of the new roadster is a 3.0-liter inline-six engine with Twin-Scroll turbocharging. It produces 320 kW, equivalent to 435 HP, and delivers maximum torque of 580 Nm. Bovensiepen's focus is not simply on peak power. The manufacturer highlights a power-to-weight ratio of 3.6 kg per horsepower, combined with a smooth and refined power delivery. To optimize airflow, the intake system has been extensively revised and supplemented with an additional Ram Air channel. The intake silencer has also been enlarged and optimized, while the Bovensiepen sports exhaust system has been developed to improve airflow and reduce exhaust back pressure. The resulting performance figures are impressive. The Bovensiepen Spider accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.2 seconds and reaches a standard top speed of 260 km/h. With the optional Performance Package, top speed increases to 295 km/h. Power is transmitted through a ZF eight-speed automatic transmission. In Sport mode, gear changes take place particularly quickly, while steering-wheel-mounted paddles allow the driver to select gears manually.

With a DIN kerb weight of 1,585 kg, the Bovensiepen Spider maintains a relatively low weight for a modern performance car. Combined with direct steering, a highly rigid body structure and specifically tuned suspension, the roadster is designed to create a particularly direct connection between driver and machine. The Spider rides on 20-inch Bovensiepen forged wheels fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S tires. The specified dimensions are 255/35 ZR20 at the front and 295/30 ZR20 at the rear. The suspension has been specifically tuned to match the high-performance tires. Revised dampers and longer auxiliary springs at the rear are designed to provide a precise and controlled chassis response. An optional high-performance braking system is available, featuring four-piston fixed calipers at the front. Perforated brake discs measure 395 mm at the front and 345 mm at the rear, providing braking performance designed to match the Spider's dynamic capabilities. The experience becomes even more distinctive with the roof open. The sound of the inline-six engine and the four exhaust outlets contribute to the classic roadster character, making the driving experience more immediate and immersive. Despite its performance-oriented character, the Spider also offers a degree of practicality. Its 281-liter luggage compartment makes longer two-person journeys possible, including extended drives through winding roads and Alpine passes.

Perhaps the most exclusive feature of the new Bovensiepen Spider 2027 is its extremely limited production run. Only 99 hand-built vehicles will be produced worldwide. Each car receives a numbered production plaque, emphasizing its individual identity and provenance. Five exclusive metallic finishes are available: Sapphire Black, Sanremo Green, Skyscraper Grey, Thundernight and Frozen Grey II. The production allocation is strictly defined for each color. Customers can also commission a personalized exterior color through the Bovensiepen Manufaktur. The interior follows the same philosophy of craftsmanship and personalization. The standard specification combines Vernasca leather with Alcantara, while a full Lavalina leather interior is available as an option. The in-house upholstery department can also create personalized embossing, stitching and other bespoke details. Orders for the Bovensiepen Spider 2027 are already open, with the first deliveries scheduled for the end of the first quarter of 2027. The announced German market price is €115,500 including 19% VAT, ex works Buchloe.
