A New Open-Top Chapter from Maranello
With the unveiling of the Ferrari Amalfi Spider, Ferrari introduces a new front-mid-engined 2+ spider designed to redefine the balance between performance, elegance and everyday versatility. Developed in Maranello, the Amalfi Spider expands Ferrari’s lifestyle-focused GT philosophy into an open-air format while preserving the dynamic precision expected from the brand’s V8 lineage. Positioned as a benchmark in Ferrari’s modern performance-driven grand touring segment, the car combines a fabric soft top, compact dimensions and practical luggage space with the emotional intensity of open-top driving. Its tailor-made or technical-fabric roof opens in just 13.5 seconds and can operate while driving at speeds of up to 60 km/h, making the transition from coupé to spider immediate and effortless. Even with the roof mechanism integrated, luggage capacity remains highly competitive, offering 255 litres with the roof closed and 172 litres when open. This practical character allows the Amalfi Spider to serve equally well as a grand touring companion for weekend escapes or a refined daily driver, extending Ferrari’s GT usability without diluting the emotional appeal of a convertible V8.

Design That Preserves Purity in Motion
Designed by the Ferrari Design Studio under the direction of Flavio Manzoni, the Amalfi Spider preserves the elegant proportions of the fixed-roof Ferrari Amalfi while introducing a soft-top architecture that enhances visual fluidity rather than interrupting it. Ferrari’s designers adopted a minimalist approach built around sculpted surfaces and clean volumes, resulting in a body that appears monolithic, precise and aerodynamic whether the roof is open or closed. The front is dominated by a large air intake and a long sculpted bonnet housing the front-mid-mounted V8, while the rear integrates active aerodynamic elements seamlessly into the tail. Ferrari also debuts the exclusive Rosso Tramonto exterior colour, a new shade inspired by the warm light of the Amalfi Coast at dusk. This rich red tone introduces subtle orange undertones that echo sunset reflections between sea and sky, adding emotional depth to the car’s sculpted surfaces. The soft top itself becomes a design element, offered in four tailor-made fabrics and two technical materials, including the new Tecnico Ottanio finish. Its distinctive weave produces a three-dimensional shimmering effect under changing light conditions, while optional contrast stitching further reinforces the connection between craftsmanship and sporting elegance.

A Dual-Cockpit Interior Built for Open-Air Driving
Inside, the Ferrari Amalfi Spider continues Ferrari’s evolving driver-focused philosophy through a dual-cockpit layout that visually and physically separates driver and passenger while maintaining a shared sense of space. The dashboard, central tunnel and door panels flow into one continuous architecture, creating a cocoon-like atmosphere that emphasizes both control and elegance. For the first time, Ferrari integrates the instrument cluster and air vents into a single monolithic structure, giving the cockpit a cleaner and more contemporary visual identity. A suspended aluminium bridge on the centre console houses primary controls, while secondary functions are positioned further rearward for improved ergonomics. Ferrari also returns to tactile interaction by introducing a new steering wheel with physical buttons and restoring the iconic anodised aluminium start button, reinforcing the emotional ritual of ignition. Three digital displays structure the onboard interface: a 15.6-inch digital instrument cluster for driving data, a 10.25-inch central touchscreen for multimedia and vehicle settings, and an 8.8-inch passenger display that provides a co-driver experience with engine revs and G-force information. The 2+ layout improves practicality by allowing limited rear seating or expanded luggage flexibility, while an integrated wind deflector built into the rear backrest can be activated at the touch of a button to reduce turbulence and maintain comfort during open-top travel.

Twin-Turbo Power with Ferrari’s Latest Dynamic Intelligence
At the heart of the Amalfi Spider lies Ferrari’s latest evolution of the 3.9-litre twin-turbocharged V8 from the acclaimed F154 family, delivering 640 horsepower at 7,500 rpm. This engine represents one of Ferrari’s most decorated modern powerplants and has been refined further with independent turbocharger speed control, increased maximum turbo speed up to 171,000 rpm and dedicated pressure sensors for each cylinder bank. These changes improve throttle response, pressure precision and mid-range torque delivery, while a raised redline of 7,600 rpm preserves Ferrari’s naturally progressive power character. Weight-saving measures such as lightweight camshafts and a redesigned engine block further improve responsiveness, while low-viscosity oil reduces cold resistance by 30 percent during warm-up. Power is delivered through Ferrari’s eight-speed dual-clutch transmission, first introduced on the Ferrari SF90 Stradale, now recalibrated for even smoother and faster shifts. Dynamic performance is enhanced by brake-by-wire technology, the latest ABS Evo controller and Ferrari’s SSC 6.1 side slip management system, which coordinate braking, steering and torque distribution with exceptional precision. Aerodynamically, the Amalfi Spider features a three-position active rear wing capable of generating up to 110 kilograms of additional downforce at 250 km/h, while the integrated wind deflector and rear diffuser ensure stability and comfort even at speed. Combined with a full suite of ADAS systems and Ferrari’s seven-year Genuine Maintenance programme, the Amalfi Spider emerges as one of the most technically complete open-top GTs ever to leave Maranello.
