Increased performance and driving dynamics
The new Emira Turbo SE brings even more power and a sharpened design to the road. As the most powerful variant in the range, it embodies the culmination of 76 years of Lotus craftsmanship and racing DNA. Whether as a daily companion, for a weekend trip or with full performance on the racetrack: this Emira sets new standards in precise handling and aerodynamics. Not to forget: pure Lotus driving pleasure! The Emira Turbo SE takes the legendary Lotus DNA to a new level. Equipped with a powerful, recalibrated 2-litre turbocharged in-line four-cylinder engine with variable geometry (provided by AMG), it delivers an impressive 400 hp (40 hp more than its predecessor) and 480 Nm of torque (+50 Nm). The 8-speed DCT gearbox (also by AMG) ensures lightning-fast gear changes, while the Launch Control ensures optimum acceleration. This Emira sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.0 s and reaches a top speed of 290 km/h (18 km/h faster than the normal version). This makes it the fastest 4-cylinder in the world! Equipped with the Lotus Drivers Pack as standard, it offers sports suspension, reinforced, cross-drilled and ventilated two-piece brake discs and driving dynamics that are unmistakably Lotus.

Made in Hethel, UK
The Hethel factory has been the headquarters and production facility of Group Lotus plc since 1966. The Emira sports car series is produced in a former, converted air force base, which was heavily modernized at a cost of around 100 million. There was a reason to celebrate recently when the 10,000th Emira rolled off the production line. Matt Windle, Group VP & Managing Director Lotus Cars, commented proudly: “The Lotus Emira is the most accomplished Lotus road car ever to roll through the Hethel factory gates. Beautifully proportioned with a stunning design inspired by the Evija all-electric hypercar, it’s the perfect package. The Emira is a junior supercar with all the thrills and head-turning characteristics found in the greatest Lotus cars, but at the same time is an everyday sports car that’s high on comfort and functionality, packed with the latest technology demanded by the discerning driver.” The Emira Turbo SE can be ordered immediately, delivery will take around 3 months. There are no plans to limit the number of units by now. The Lotus Chapman Bespoke personalization service – which was introduced in 2024 – offers further individual layout elements to incorporate material and color preferences as well as customer’s personal wishes. The Lotus Emira Turbo SE is available in Switzerland starting from CHF 102'890.

A striking design language and a sophisticated layout
The Emira Turbo SE is characterized by striking lines and a high-quality interior that combines comfort and functionality. The newly finished 20-inch V-spoke forged wheels with red brake callipers and a zinc gray paint finish create a striking look. The Emira Turbo SE lettering, the black Lotus branding at the rear and the eye-catching exhaust tailpipes complete the sporty, elegant silhouette. The new colors grey, blue and red are available for the exterior paintwork. In the interior, the Alcantara headliner is particularly impressive – in addition to the sophisticated controls that can already be found in the existing Emiras.

The Emira 2025 series
Since the launch of the Emira First Edition in 2022, this Lotus series has enjoyed great popularity. The 2025 versions – the Emira Turbo and Emira Turbo SE, both with a 4-cylinder twin-scroll turbo engine and an 8-speed DCT gearbox, and the Emira V6 with a supercharged 3.5-liter engine and 6-speed or automatic transmission gearbox – are characterized by their improved performance and refined design. The brand is thus implementing its plan to satisfy broader customer needs and offering sports cars that guarantee driving pleasure featuring a combustion engine. The Emira Turbo SE is named after the introduction of the turbo engine in 1980: the Lotus Esprit Turbo was the first model within the Esprit range with such an engine. It was equipped with a 2.2-liter in-line four-cylinder engine with Garrett turbocharger, which delivered 210 hp and 270 Nm of torque – impressive figures for that decade. This model was first presented as the Essex Turbo Esprit in a limited special edition and then went into series production in 1981. The turbo engine made the Esprit a serious contender in its category and thus had a significant influence on the development of subsequent Lotus models.
